FORUM 1 – The number one shopping destination in downtown Salzburg

One of the most frequented places in Salzburg is its main station. Here, visitors to FORUM 1 can roam two sales levels and browse the attractive offer of shops, service facilities, and restaurants. Since its opening in 2008, the center has become a popular shopping destination for the local residents, as well as for the employees of the local businesses. Urban development of recent years has turned the location into even more of a locally and regionally attractive neighborhood center. The immediately adjacent residential area, which comprises 100 units, emphasizes the importance of FORUM 1 even further.

As part of an overall concept, FORUM 1 forms a passage that connects the headquarters of Austria’s health insurance fund to the main station. However, the center is not only popular among local residents. Students and commuters use the center and its 50 shops to do their shopping. Restaurant operators offer home deliveries as an additional service at FORUM 1, which is in line with the shopping center’s focus on providing its visitors with top services. In 2011, the adjacent building, which is owned by Signa Holding, was connected to FORUM 1 via a glass bridge. The entire shopping center is managed by SES.

Transport Infrastructure
