Our business: We are specialized in the successful development, construction management, and operation of retail properties of international standard. SES offers its know-how in these core competences as services to retail property owners. In addition, and for selected projects only, SES offers investment opportunities to third parties. SES Slovenia is the country’s market leader in large-scale shopping centers and operates total of five shopping destinations in Ljubljana, Maribor, and Celje. In 2020, SES opened ALEJA Ljubljana, Slovenia’s most modern shopping center. Currently, SES operates 30 shopping destinations in six European countries.

Mixed-use district center sets new standards

ALEJA Shopping Center, Ljubljana, Slovenia

On 20 May 2020, SES opened ALEJA shopping center in Ljubljana. The 150-million-euro investment serves as a mixed-use shopping and leisure hot spot. With 32,000 square meters of GLA, 80 shops, and a strong focus on gastronomy, ALEJA Shopping Center sets new standards. The 6,200-square-meter rooftop leisure, sport, and recreation area represents a special feature. The iconic building marks yet another highlight in the city of Ljubljana, creating a new meeting place for the city’s residents.

Energy Management System

All SES locations in Austria, Slovenia, and Italy operate with an energy management system certified according to ISO 50001:2018 by TÜV AUSTRIA. This allows us to further optimize the already very energy-efficient operation of our malls.

Sustainable activity has been part of our corporate DNA at SES for many years. Many SES centers have received several awards for their commitment to CSR. We do more than simply implement required standards. We apply a forward-looking approach to putting in place energy-saving and energy-efficient measures.

Certified Hygiene Concept

Healthy and safe through the pandemic: The hygiene management concept SES has established at its centers has been certified by TÜV Austria, making SES the first company in the retail properties sector to achieve such certification.

Climate active mobile project partner

SES has been investing in e-charging stations for years and use 100 per cent green electricity from renewable energy sources. For this we were awarded the title of “climate active mobil project partner” by the Austrian Ministry of Climate Protection.

ALEJA Ljubljana wins Global RLI Award 2021

The most recent Slovenian center has received the worldwide Shopping Center Award in the “International Shopping Center – New Build” category. The award is in recognition of the particularly high level of customer focus to be found at the mixed-use ALEJA.
