Slovenia’s most modern shopping center is setting standards.

SES developed the ALEJA shopping centre at one of the most prominent locations in Ljubljana, in the Šiška district of the Slovenian capital. Slovenia’s most modern shopping destination was completed in 2020 after a construction period from summer 2017 to March 2020. 80 shops, restaurants and service providers occupy the 32,000m² of leasable space. SES has created an unparalleled shopping destination in the densely populated north-west of the city. ALEJA impresses with unique architecture and modern design. In line with the latest international trends, SES has developed a multifunctional location that combines shopping, restaurants and leisure facilities. On the roof, ALEJA SKY offers 6,200 m² for strolling in green surroundings, for sports and adventure. There’s a food court under a huge dome with outdoor terraces for all restaurants directly connected to the adventure world on the roof, and a pump track circuit in front of the centre. Investment in the project has amounted to around 150 million euros. In 2021, the shopping destination, opened in May 2020, received the world-renowned Global RLI Award in the category “International Shopping Centre – New Build”. In 2023, the Slovenian mall won an international award from the European Council of Shopping Places (ECSP) in the category “New Centre Developments over 15,000 to 45,000 square metres”.

ALEJA is the fifth shopping centre to be managed by SES in Slovenia. SES is the market leader in Slovenia for large-scale shopping centres.
