Trendy Food Court

Slovenia’s most modern shopping center is setting standards.

SES developed ALEJA shopping center in one of the most prominent areas of Ljubljana, in the Šiška district of the Slovenian capital. ALEJA opens an entirely new dimension in the Slovenian shopping center market. In 2020, ALEJA, Slovenia’s most modern shopping center, was completed after a construction period that spanned from summer 2017 to March 2020. The SES Shopping Center has 32,000 m² of leasable space. With its 80 stores, restaurants, and service outlets, SES has created a top-class shopping center in the densely populated northwest of the city. The ALEJA center’s unique architecture and modern concept are quite impressive. In an effort to remain in line with the latest international trends, a mixed-use location that combines shopping, gastronomy, and leisure facilities was developed. The ALEJA SKY on the roof offers 6,200 m² of space to stroll around the greenery, engage in sports activities, or enjoy other experiences. As is the case at all SES shopping centers, special attention was paid to the area of gastronomy. In this instance, the food court is situated beneath a huge dome and offers outdoor terraces for every restaurant connected to ALEJA SKY. A pump track circuit is located in front of the center. Investment amounts to approximately EUR 150 million. ALEJA is the fifth shopping center managed by SES in Slovenia. SES is the market leader in Slovenia for large-scale shopping centers. In 2023, the Slovenian mall won the international award of the European Council of Shopping Places (ECSP) in the category “New center developments over 15,000 to 45,000 square meters”.
